How to Reset and Reconnect Your MyQ/LiftMaster Garage Door Opener to Wi-Fi

 

1. Locate the Adjustment Button

  • LiftMaster Overhead Openers: The black adjustment button is located between the up and down arrow buttons on the back of the unit.

  • Wall-Mounted LiftMaster Openers: The button is under the front cover.

  • myQ Smart Garage Hub: The settings button is located on the side of the hub.

 

2. Clear Wi-Fi Settings

  • For Garage Door Openers:
    Press and hold the black adjustment button until the Wi-Fi LED turns off or you hear three beeps.

  • Press the yellow button three times, you should hear three beeps and it will flash blue.

  • For myQ Smart Garage Hub:
    Press and hold the settings button until the blue LED starts flashing. Then immediately press and hold it again until the LED pauses or a beep is heard.

 

3. Connect to the MyQ Device
Using a smartphone or other Wi-Fi-capable device:

  • Go to your list of available Wi-Fi networks.

  • Select the network that begins with "MyQ" — this is your MyQ device.

 

4. Open Web Browser and Access Setup Page

  • Once connected to the MyQ network, open your web browser (e.g., Safari or Chrome).

  • Type setup.myqdevice.com into the address bar.

  • This will take you to the MyQ Wi-Fi Setup page.

 

5. Complete the Setup

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your device to your home Wi-Fi network and complete the setup process.
