Here are a few quick checks you can try to restore the video on your monitor:
- Check the video input source
Make sure the monitor is set to the correct input (HDMI, VGA, DisplayPort, etc.). Sometimes it switches to the wrong input. - Verify the cable connections
Confirm the video cable is firmly connected at both ends — the monitor and the recorder (or computer). If possible, unplug and plug it back in. - Power cycle the monitor and recorder
- Turn off the monitor, wait 10–15 seconds, and turn it back on.
- If you have access to the NVR/DVR or computer, restart it as well.
- Try a different cable or port
If you have an extra HDMI/DisplayPort/VGA cable, try swapping it.
You can also plug into another port if one is available.
