Adding a Tenant

Required Steps & Fields

  1. Select Tenant List from the heading bar.

  2. Select a tenant list from the left pane and click Add tenant.

  3. Choose one of the following:

    • Click Enable to define and activate the tenant immediately.

    • Click Disable to define the tenant without activating it.

  4. In the Tenant Name field, enter the full name of the tenant.

  5. In the ID field, enter the tenant’s ID.

    • This is the tenant’s identification code and is used by visitors to call the tenant.

  6. In the PIN field:
    • Enter the tenant’s Personal Identification Number (PIN).

    • If not used, enter 0000.

  7. In the Phone number field, enter the tenant’s phone number.

    • Select a schedule for the phone number (usually Always Valid).

 


You may save the tenant at this stage without completing the optional entries. The system will automatically apply default values for any options not configured.


Optional Entries

  • Card Number Output

    • Choose one of the following options:

      • Enter a value in the Card number field.

      • Click Link with a cardholder, select a cardholder from the table, and click Link.

        • The cardholder’s name will appear in the Card number output area.

  • Second Phone Number

    • Enter a Second phone number for the tenant.

    • Select a schedule for the second phone number.


Notes

  • When a visitor calls a tenant using the KTES directory, the system first calls the primary phone number.

  • If there is no answer, the system automatically attempts the second phone number.

  • If no primary phone number is entered, the KTES cannot call the tenant.
