Network Requirements for My Managed Security (MMS)

The following information outlines the network ports required for access control system to communicate securely with the cloud server. These ports must be allowed on the network firewall to ensure proper system operation and connectivity.

Cloud Server: mymanagedsecurity.com

Required Ports:

  • Inbound: 18801

  • Outbound: 18802
     


Checking the Network Connection (Windows)

This quick test helps confirm whether the required network connection is allowed.

  1. On the computer, open Command Prompt

  2. Type the following and press Enter:

    telnet mymanagedsecurity.com 18802
  3. If the screen goes blank, the connection is working correctly.
    If an error message appears, the network may be blocking the connection.

 


How to Enable Telnet (Windows)

If the command does not work, Telnet may need to be enabled first.

  1. Open Control Panel

  2. Click Programs

  3. Select Turn Windows features on or off

  4. Check Telnet Client

  5. Click OK and allow Windows to complete the setup

Once enabled, reopen Command Prompt and run the connection test again.
