How to Set Up Cloud Recording on Alarm.com Cameras

Follow these steps to create a recording rule for your camera:

  1. Log in to your Alarm.com account through the customer website.
  2. Click on Video.
  3. Select Recording Rules.
  4. Click Add New Rule.
  5. Choose a rule type
    (Video Analytics is recommended for most users).
  6. Select the camera you want to enable cloud recording for.
  7. Enter a name for your recording rule.
  8. Adjust the rule settings based on your preferences
    (these options will vary depending on the rule type selected).

    Optional – Set Up Notifications:
  9. Under Video Clip Recipients, click Add.
  10. Select an existing contact from your Address Book, or click New to add one.
  11. Choose how each recipient should be notified:
  • Text Only
  • Video Clip
  • Thumbnail Image
     
  1. Review your settings and click Save Rule.
