Please follow the steps below to reconnect your Alarm.com cameras to your new Wi-Fi network.

AP Mode Setup:

  1. Make sure the camera’s AC adapter is plugged into a non-switched outlet.
  2. Wait for the LED to blink white.
    • If the LED is not white after 2 minutes, press and hold the WPS/Reset button and release it when the LED starts blinking white (approximately 3 seconds).
  3. On your phone, tablet, or laptop, connect to the Wi-Fi network that starts with ALARM or the device name (XX:XX).
    • This will match the last 6 digits of the camera MAC address found on the camera or packaging.
  4. Open a web browser and go to 192.168.1.1.
  5. Follow the prompts to connect the camera to the desired Wi-Fi network.
    • The LED will briefly turn red, then blink green, and finally turn solid green once setup is complete.

WPS Mode Setup:

  1. Make sure the camera’s AC adapter is plugged into a non-switched outlet.
  2. When the LED is blinking white, press and hold the WPS/Reset button and release it when the LED starts blinking blue (approximately 6 seconds).
  3. Activate WPS on your router.
  4. The LED will turn solid green once the connection is complete.

LED Status Reference Guide:

Identify your camera’s current state based on the LED light color and pattern:

  • Solid Green: Fully connected and communicating normally with the Alarm.com platform.
  • Blinking Green: Camera is searching for your local network.
  • Solid Red: No connection to your network or the internet. Verify your Wi-Fi password hasn't changed and the router is online.
  • Blinking Red: Booting up. Wait about 2 minutes to see if it changes. If it stays blinking red, unplug and plug it back in.
  • Blinking Blue: WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) pairing mode.
  • Blinking White: Access Point (AP) setup mode.
  • Alternating Red and Green: Camera is actively resetting to factory defaults.
  • No Light (Off): The camera is receiving no power. Trace your wire and check the power adapter.
